Dr. Corrie Blackaby, PT, DPT, is the co-owner of the Desert Institute of Physical Therapy with her husband, Robb Blackaby. Corrie received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2002 and Bachelor of Science in 1999, both from Northern Arizona University.
Since receiving her physical therapy license in the state of Arizona in 2002, Corrie has been practicing physical therapy throughout Phoenix and Scottsdale, joining the Desert Institute of Physical Therapy when she and Robb purchased the clinic in March 2009. She has been treating patients since 2002, with her treatments and continuing education focused on outpatient orthopedics and sports physical therapy. Corrie has participated in extensive continuing education courses over the years, to continue to advance her training and elevate her manual therapy skills, to provide the best treatment possible to all of her patients. She is passionate about outpatient orthopedics, treating various caseloads of patients with an array of diagnoses, including her passion for total joint replacement rehabilitation.
Corrie continues to work with patients, focused on providing the highest level of care, to return each patient to their highest level of function possible. Corrie also currently functions as the office manager when not treating patients.
In her spare time, Corrie loves spending time with her family, working out, cooking, gardening, and painting.
