Dr. Robb Blackaby, PT, DPT, ATC, CFMT, is the Co-owner of DIPT. Robb received his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Titleist Performance Institute Certified, and he obtained a Functional Manual TherapyT.Certification with Honors in 2005 through the Institute of Physical Art.
In 2004, Robb toured as a physical therapist for the PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tour golf events and presently treats many of the local professional and amateur golfers that live in the Phoenix valley. He is a certified golf fitness instructor through The Titleist Performance Institute.
In 2010, he Co-founded Medicine in Motion, a premier sports medicine company that provides health care practitioners and service to various sporting events throughout the nation and world. Events include the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, ESPN’s Summer, Winter, and Global X Games, Vans and Megaramp skateboarding competitions, Arizona High School Mountain Bike league, ASU wakedevils wakeboarding team, as well as various dance, martial arts, and surfing events.
In January, 2014, Robb was hired by the United States Ski and Snowboard Association to work as the physical therapist and athletic trainer for the US snowboard half pipe team. He traveled with the team to Olympic qualifiers in Breckenridge, CO, and Mammoth, Ca; the Winter X Games in Aspen, CO, while finishing with the Olympic team in Sochi, Russia, for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Duties included prevention of injury preparation for athletes before events, on hill emergency support, and post practice/competition manual therapy treatments.
